Submissions for Polarlit Vol. 3 are open. The deadline is Feb. 28, 2026. 

What we’re looking for:

Fiction, poetry, essays and visual art with a connection to Svalbard. (How you interpret that connection is up to you.) Submissions can be in any language. English translations or summaries are gratefully welcomed, but not required. 1,800 word limit.

Who can submit:

Anyone who has lived in or visited Svalbard. We welcome emerging, unpublished and first-time writers and artists, as well as established professionals.

What you’ll receive:

All published writers and artists receive a free copy of the magazine.
