Antigua’s Final Journey

Esther Harrison

antigua's last journey,

cold, clear ice—time's frozen breath,

it hurts so good, still.

holding our future,

running swiftly through our hands—

can we see ourselves?

slipping ancient time

repositories of ice melt,

vessels of the dawn.

whispers of the past,

etched in frost, carried by winds—

listen, they still speak.

blinding clarity,

breathtaking impermanence—

hold on, hold on tight

ice flows, breaking free

seven glaciers bear witness—

we drifted as one
