Polarlit is a literary magazine founded in 2023 in Longyearbyen, Svalbard. At 78° latitude, we are the northernmost literary magazine in the world. We are open to submissions in all literary forms and in all languages by anyone who has been touched by this unique place in the Arctic Circle. 

We are a registered nonprofit organization under Norwegian law. All editors operate on a volunteer basis, but we aim to provide honoraria to our designers and contributors. Printing and other overhead costs (including this website) are funded by small grants and donations. If you would like to support Polarlit, we gratefully accept donations in any amount.
